Kathleen didn’t win. Frankly, her chances were quite lean. This could only mean there’s things we need to clean and bin; like old habits, if we want performances so pristine. Needless to say, much to learn from Matthew thirteen!

This whole thing took a spin when we got so keen; thinking the grass in the sporting scene suddenly turned green, yet we hardly sowed a seed except in her days as a teen. Like sowing a bean and expecting a human spleen!

The pressure on Kathleen no doubt grew extreme. I bet her new fan base enabled her glean some steam, and take us and the team to where we had never been.

Kathleen Noble [Left] represented Uganda at the Japan 2020 Olympics as the country’s first competitive rower.

Sole participant she was, cos none else could meet the cut for an event like that for which we had never taken part. Such a sweet lady, we thank God she’s not a brat!

Only a Noble heart could have this kind of daring gut; representing a country where arts and sports are covered in dirt. Where, if not alert, you get dragged into every spat. Just for that, she deserved a huge pat, and a cowboy hat, right from the very start!

That’s my view and, sure, for a few of you who never knew her—heck, you prolly thought she was a Jew! This cue was for the regime to do a thing or two: hold her in high esteem and other Ugandans too, who’ll give the young a chance to dream and follow through. Doesn’t matter if this time there was nothing to redeem.

We’re stuck with oldman who makes choices on a whim. His dreams are good—extremely good for a meme! They’re so lofty, they do not even cross the beam; only for him and kin—about this, do not be green!!

But it’s not all loss, our future isn’t grim. He’s not our boss, we should aim above the rim.

Toss him into the trash; do it like in a rush. Soon you’ll have plenty of cash, you won’t know where to stash.

Kathleen’s choice to participate did generate a huge debate about the state of our country’s readiness to dominate. We try to emulate the best, albeit we wait til it’s late! Then we anticipate, but the weight on the plate is great. We decided our fate long before the D-date!

Now that she’s out, we’ll soon forget and not regret cos that’s our trait; it’s ingrained, it’s so innate. Can I hear a ‘yeeeah’, from only those that can relate!

At this rate, I think am gonna need a beat. Hands in the air, if you are tired of defeat. If your skirt has a slit, I wanna hear you stamp your feet. Say, “yeaaaah”. See you when we meet and greet!
